Nottawasaga Mechanical was built on Service

When Owner/Operator Joe Carr started Nottawasaga Mechanical in 1986 service was his main priority. As a licensed refrigeration mechanic he dedicated himself to helping people in need at all hours of the day. Slowly the company has grown from a 3 man operation to over 30 full time employees that are here to service you. From the staff in the office to the technician that comes to your home you can rest assure that we will do everything in our power to help you in your time of need. Nottawasaga Mechanical offers 24 hour service on all of our equipment. When you call for emergency after hours help you will be greeted by one of Nottawasaga Mechanicals employees and not a call center. If your call is not answered right away you can be certain that your message will be returned as soon as possible.

Some things you should check before calling us:
  • Check to make sure that the power is on to your unit. Check both the breaker and the power switch located near the furnace.
  •  Check to make sure your filter is not plugged with debris. Checking your filter on a monthly basis is strongly recommeded. A dirty filter can often trip your furnace off on a limit because the airflow is restricted.
  • During the winter months you should always check to make sure that snow has not plugged your venting. Your furnace may trip off on a limit if there is snow covering the venting outside.
  • If you have a digital thermostat then it will have batteries. Try replacing the batteries.

If none of these quick checks work then please give us a call and we will do our best to help you.

If you are a Owner

If you are a WaterFurnace owner you should check the LED status lights on the bottom right hand side of your unit. This information will help our technician prepare for your visit. If the Green status light is flashing this means it is under normal operation but if a Red light is on then your unit has kicked off on a fault code. Please make a note of the fault before calling.

If you are a  Owner

If you are an owner of the newer models of York you should make note of the number of flashes your furnace is making. If you look in the window that is placed just below the center of the furnace then you will see the the fault flash it is giving.

Other Manufacturers may have the same window to dispaly a fault code. If your furnace does then please make note of the code.
